If you’ve never seen dye sublimated metal photo prints, you’re sure missing out! Sublimating your photos is a process with which we take your photo or graphic and infuse dyes directly into the surface of specially coated metal. Your images are actually infused into the surface and not just printed on top of it, so the images are almost magical and offer a 3D high definition, luminescent visual effect. The amazing colors nearly jump off the surface. 

This process produces a depth, detail and brilliance that cannot be achieved my merely printing onto a surface. Asheville Color & Imaging prints onto a special transfer which is then put on 100% recycled aluminum or steel. Through a pressure and heat process greater than 400 degrees, the image transfers from a solid to a gas bypassing the liquid stage, thus sublimating the image into the surface. The more color, the more truly luminescent it becomes. Our capabilities allow us to do this from the size of a business card, all the way up to a size of 48”x 72”.
