The Nebraska Concealed Carry Handgun Course is the course required by the State of Nebraska to satisfy the training requirements to earn a Concealed Handgun Permit (CHP). This course will meet the requirements to earn your Nebraska permit and will enable legal concealed carry in other states due to current reciprocity agreements and is taught by a National Rifle Association Certified Pistol Instructor in strict accordance with the law of the state of Nebraska and a Nebraska State Patrol approved lesson plan.
 The purpose of this Concealed Handgun Training course is to provide training and education for people intending to use a handgun for self-defense. It also fulfills the legal and practical requirements required by the state of Nebraska. This course will also offer information critical in making good decisions while carrying a concealed handgun as well as situational awareness, safety, proper storage of firearms, and other legal considerations.
Students will be required to earn a minimum score of 70% on the written (multiple choice) exam and a minimum score of 70% on the practical shooting test using a standard FBI Q Target. The course of fire consists of 30 rounds for qualification; six shots at 3 feet, twelve shots at 9 feet, six shots at 15 feet, and six shots at 21 feet. Any hit touching black on the FBI Q Target is considered a hit.
