This event rental includes use of the museum's exhibits space and classroom space for an event of up to 150 people. The event time is from 5 pm to 11 pm and includes set-up and clean-up time. A refundable deposit for any damage to museum property and exhibits, additional staffing due to event guest behavior, or extreme clean-up, as well as a trash removal fee will apply. Set-up, arranging for catering and/or beverage service, and clean-up are the client's responsibility. Client is also responsible for any applicable permits and insurance for service or sale of alcohol. Museum staff will set up and take down any museum tables/chairs/stools, as well as work with caterers for site visits and drop-offs/pick-ups. Museum staff will be available during events to monitor security, trash receptacles, operational needs/requests, restrooms, and exhibits. For full museum rentals, exhibits will remain on and functional (some can be turned off at request), but are subject to particular exhibit function/status at time of event. A prep area and sink are available by request, but the museum does NOT have a full kitchen or fridge/freezer space available. Cooking of food on-site is not permitted. Scheduling of event is subject to availability. Events for organizations that don't align with the museum's mission or policies of equality are subject to denial.

The Asheville Museum of Science (AMOS) is the center for expert STEM learning in WNC. AMOS strives to spark imagination and foster lifelong curiosity in the museum and through both in-house and outreach STEM education. These include field trips, in-school and after-school programs, intensive science camps, Saturday STEAM education, and involvement in city and county events that serve the community. AMOS also offers adult programming and partners with the many great organizations in the community regarding topics such as sustainability. A major goal is to increase scientific literacy.
